How to Make Your Own Vegetarian Chili Meat Recipe: 2 cups dry uncooked, non-stick rice (or other rice) 1 cup cooked brown lentils (or white rice) 3 tablespoons salt 1 cup chopped onion 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon dried chili powder 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I use olive oil) 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes 1/3 cup chopped green onions 3 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin 2 teaspoons ground cayfelder 1/16 teaspoon smoked paprika 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/10 teaspoon black pepper powder (optional) Instructions Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with non-oil cooking spray.

Combine the dry uncured rice with the cooked lentils, onion, garlic, chili powder, cayanne pepper, cumin, cilantro, chili oil, tomato paste, and cayfeta pepper.

Mix until well combined.

Place the rice and lentils in a large bowl and mix well.

Add the salt and mix until well incorporated.

Pour the rice mixture into a shallow dish or the bottom of a baking dish and toss well to combine.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until the lentils are tender and the rice is evenly browned.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the chopped green onion and cilantro.

Cool slightly before serving.
