The new Meat Cutter and Meat Market will open in the former Meat Shop space next month.
The retail space, at the intersection of 14th Avenue SE and 17th Street SE, will house the Meat Cutter, a meat cutting company that will offer cut and paste options for the retail market, as well as meat packing, packing and shipping services.
The Meat Market, which will feature fresh meats and a grocery store, will have the same concept as the Meat Shop, but the Meat Cutters will be on site.
The retail space will be a combination of a food court and a farmers market, with a selection of fresh produce and meats.
The former Meatshop has been vacant since the Meatcutters closed in late 2014, but that space is currently being used for a new grocery store.
The two spaces will open on the same day, but there are plans to reopen them on different days.
The Meat Cutter space will open at 11 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month and will be open for two hours a day from 8 a.p. to 5 p.m., with a rotating lineup of meats.
The Meat Market space will close at 8 p.l.m on the second Sunday of the month and open at 10 a.l., with limited selections and no rotating lineup.
The location is slated to open in 2018.
